How to Find The King’s Head Laxfield
With many thatched and timber-framed cottages and the impressive church of All Saints, Laxfield is one of the most attractive villages in rural North Suffolk. The 16th century Guild Hall houses a museum which is open Saturday and Sunday afternoons and Bank Holidays and includes a fascinating display of bygones.
Parking is easy at the Kings Head (The Low House); plenty to front by the stream and a car park to the side.
Local attractions include:
The Suffolk Heritage coast and the seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold and unspoilt villages such as Dunwich and Walberswick.
Framlingham Castle, a fine example of a late 12th-century castle, is just a short drive away. Follow the picturesque lanes for an enjoyable ride out past rolling countryside and sights such as Heveningham Hall to local market towns such as Halesworth, Harleston and Eye.
